Caitlin turns 2

Our Baby is TWO!! Such a happy and sad occasion. Those two years went way too fast!
Here is her birthday morning pose for us.
A candle in her pop tart to start the day off.
Her birthday was on a Saturday, which always makes it extra fun, since we get to play all day long. We colored Easter eggs that morning (Easter was the next day) and played. Then she got to open one present before she went down for a nap.
She loves getting new clothes and putting them right on.
She wanted an Elsa cake. She loved it and was very excited that we added a little Olaf to the cake. Jared helped put the cake together the night before. The cake wasn't near tall enough to fit a Barbie standing in it so we had to get a little creative. There are bagels under the cake and marshmallows on the top layer :)
Beautiful Birthday Girl

The Nelsons came and joined us for pizza and a party.

Opening presents

Time for cake. Love her pose here!

Playing an Olaf game

After the party, when we were saying goodbye to the Nelsons, I went looking for Caitlin. She had climbed up to the table to finish off the cake.
Caitlin at Two:
We've wanted to keep our little baby a baby as long as possible but she's too busy keeping up with the other kids to accommodate our wishes. She likes to do whatever her big sister and brothers are doing.  She wanted to start potty training at about 20 months and was fully trained by the time her birthday came. She loves to jump! She jumps whenever she is excited and even when she's not. She loves to jump on the trampoline also. She still loves Elmo but is most obsessed with the Frozen movie. She sings all the songs and always wants to watch it.  She talks as much as the other kids and always has a lot to say. She switches to her nurturing "mom voice" when she's worried about the other kids and tries to take care of them. She loves when each of the kids get home from school. When Mackayla gets off the bus she always yells, "It's my sister!!!!!" and runs to her.  She loves both her Daddy and Mommy but at any given moment usually prefers one or the other. She's s a good sleeper and still takes an afternoon nap. She loves going to her nursery class on Sundays. Mackayla, Bradley, and Jacob all still absolutely adore her and can't get enough of her. We love her SO MUCH!!!!

p.s. This is something I wrote somewhere else, shortly before her birthday:
My job is getting easier as Caitlin (not even two yet) is taking over for me.
Today in a very stern voice, she said, "Bradley, stop being mean to Jacob! Do you understand me?!" and later, "Kids, settle down and eat your breakfast!"
Every day when we pull up to the school to drop the kids off, she says, "Have a good day guys. I love you and I'll see you soon." She's such a good little mommy, I think I'll just sit back and let her run things!
