Happy Halloween

Our Little Princess
Mackayla has been wearing her Cinderella dress for weeks but was still very excited to get all dressed up tonight. She even got to wear some lipstick!!

Her fairy godmother wasn't quite as talented as Cinderella's. Mackayla had to drive her little green car to the ball rather than go in a fancy carriage.

Super Bradley
Amy let us borrow Jackson's superman outfit and he sure looked cute in it!

My little hero
Cinderella getting ready to go trick or treating with her prince charming
Her dad said she loved it and said "trick or treat" and "Happy Halloween!" at every door.

Digging in!

We carved our pumpkin on Monday night. Mackayla was way more interested in coloring on her little pumpkin than helping her dad carve the big one.

Raising a new generation of bloggers...

Its funny the little things kids pick up on. Mackayla always comes to the computer and wants to check her email, but the other day I guess she was more into blogging. Out of the blue she ran to the computer and said, "I better see if I have a new comment." After reaching up and clicking on the mouse a few times she said, "I got a new comment! Its probably April."

Happy Days

Tomorrow Bradley will be two weeks old. It's hard to believe that only two weeks ago I was still pregnant. We have all seemed to adjust well to our family of four. Mackayla LOVES her little brother and always wants to hold him. She loves to help us take care of him, and is so good at talking to him in her sweet baby voice. Bradley is sleeping pretty well. He's still waking up every two or three hours to eat, but always goes right back to sleep. I just wish we could say that Mackayla was also sleeping well. Its usualy late before we can get her to fall asleep, and then many morning she comes in to wake us up around five or six. We're loving spending time with both our children.
Bradley really likes his crib. He hasn't slept in it at night yet since he's still sleeping in a bassinet in our room.
A lot of mornings end up with all four of us laying in our bed.
Mackayla is fascinated by watching her dad shave in the mornings. This is a picture of her sitting on the toilet watching him. Just a cute sleeping baby boy. Jared and Bradley watching the world series together.
We had the stroller sitting on the floor the other day, and Mackayla thought it was so fun to just sit on it. She spent a long time playing there.
One last picture with Grandpa and Grandma before they left Thursday morning.

Update

I thought I'd just give a quick update for the hundreds of people following our lives through this blog. We haven't had the baby yet, but there are only two days until the official due date. April hasn't had hers yet either, so the race is still on. My parents get here tomorrow. Its a relief to know that Mackayla will be in good hands while we're in the hospital. Jared only has two tests left to take this week, so he's feeling a little more ready for the baby to come. We'll put pictures up as soon as our son arrives, so check back regularly!

Jared took Mackayla to the pumpkin patch (at the grocery store) tonight to buy a pumpkin. She was very excited about the whole deal.

Mackayla is getting good at smiling for the camera when we take her picture. The best part is I don't have to worry about fixing red eye anymore.

Here are a couple pictures from conference weekend. I don't know how much Mackayla got out of the talks, but she loved just laying around with Mommy and Daddy all day.

Mackayla sat perfectly quiet during the last session. What a good girl!

Only One More Week

We have exactly one week left until the official due date. With Mackayla, we were hoping so bad that she would be early. This time we're hoping he doesn't come before the due date. Jared has four tests to take and a paper to write before next Thursday. Also, our help (my parents) aren't getting here until the 10th. We have the camera's charged and my bag packed though in case he does decide to come early. We're getting so excited for "baby brother" to arrive. The little guy is always moving like crazy inside and I can't wait to actually hold him in my arms. I think Mackayla is getting excited too. She seems to understand a little bit more now that he will be coming out soon. I'm hoping she makes the adjustment well. I've included a few pictures that show why I'm a little worried she's not quite ready to give up her role as the baby yet.
This is Mackayla laying in the baby's crib. She loves to get in and watch the mobile.
We brought up the bouncer chair a couple weeks ago to get it ready for the baby. Mackayla has claimed it as her chair and LOVES to sit in it. She often takes her milk to the chair and falls asleep for a little nap.
