Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas in Arizona with all of Jared's family!
Here are our annual Christmas pajamas provided by my Mom Hatfield.

Our Christmas Eve festivites started with a nice dinner...

then a nice Christmas message from Dad Jones

Bradley the reindeer

Santa came!

Waiting to be able to enter the living room to see what Santa left.

Here are pictures of the great times we had Christmas morning.

Jared's parents received a gift from us that required them to open four layers of wrapped boxes to find a note reading "So this isn't really a gift, but there is one more. Coming this summer... grandchild number four." My parents received a similar gift reading " coming this summer, straight from heaven, our gift to you is grandchild number eleven."
We had fun announcing to our families that we are expecting child number three in August!
Bradley crashed out as soon as we finished opening presents.
The kids loot from Christmas. They did pretty good.
The gifts Jared and I received (We did pretty good too).
Mackayla loved the dress up clothes she got from Uncle Jason. She wore them to the Richins breakfast on Christmas morning.

We finished the day off with a nice turkey dinner at Grandma Jones' house. Grandma Jones always has a gift under the tree for every member of the family. Here is Mackayla enjoying her gift.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Cookies, snow and cuteness

Time is going by so fast. I can't believe Christmas is almost here. Jared has been really busy at work, so we can hardly wait to have him all to ourselves for 10 days! We made gingerbread men cookies today and took some to our nieghbors. It was a fun project that Mackayla has been looking forward to all week.

It was definitely bath time afterwards!
Licking the beaters (this was when we made the dough this morning before church)
Mackayla wanted her pictured taken with her pretzels. We finally got some snow on Saturday. It was Bradley's first time playing in it and he enjoyed it overall, but we had him bundled up so much he could hardly move. Mackayla of course LOVED it!

Our little snow angel

I'm finally starting to really see the effects of Bradley's gender. I've seen a lot of pictures lately of my nephews climbing and getting into things, and now Bradley is starting to join in the fun. Every time I turn around he is climbing on something and Mackayla will quickly say, "He sure is a handful!" Fortunatly, he is just plain adorable, so even though he's a handful we sure love him. It's pretty cute to see how proud he is of himself everytime he makes it on top of this table. Boys will be boys!
Mackayla visiting teaching Bradley. She loves to play "visiting teaching."
Reading the comics (we heard that kids who learn to read upside down first are much smarter than kids who just learn to read everything right side up)
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

The happiest time of the year!

The last couple of nights Jared and I have finished up Christmas cards and wrapping while watching "White Christmas." We have most things done and ready so now we're able to just relax and enjoy this Christmas season.

Decorating the tree
We had a nice Christmas dinner today after church.

The kids love to run back and forth down the hall to Jared and me. I tried to take some pictures of this very entertaining game. :)

Yesterday we went to the candyland parade in Provo. It was definitly not the best parade we've been to but the kids seemed to keep entertained enough.
Santa was the last thing to come down the parade.

Bradley was exhausted by the time we headed home.
This is Bradley's favorite style of bib since he can spend the entire meal pulling it up and shouting "hat!"

Instead of dreaming of a white Christmas, Mackayla is dreaming of a hot summer. She wanted to wear this the other day. She was upset when I made her change before we headed out of the house that day.

Thanksgiving in Yakima

We had a great trip to Yakima for Thanksgiving. The drive went really well, the kids were great, and the weather was perfect. My mom put on a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and, because there wasn't a lot of the family in town, I got to sit at the adult table for my FIRST time! It only took 29 years! Somehow we forgot to get a picture of that special event.

Grandma & Bradley
Grandpa, Bradley and BuffyWe got to spend a lot of time with Chad and his family on Friday and Saturday. Mackayla had a wonderul time with her cousin Jackson.
Hugging Jackson goodnight

Bradley and cousing Mitchell playing with the farm animals
Watching some football with Dad
Things got a little boring with the milk so he decided to trade it in for a better drink.
(it's rootbeer)

The kids loved Grandpa's popcorn. Bradley had his hand in there for three straight days.
Melissa, Mackayla and Grandma Davenport
Grandma D. took us all to dinner at an all you can eat buffet, and Bradley ate as much as anybody. He was pretty cute shoveling all the food in with his spoon. The picture doesn't do justice because his little face was covered with potatoes, ice cream, and everything else he could get on his plate!
