September

The kids had a back to school night at the beginning of the month. We got to see their classrooms and some of the work they had done so far.
Here is Mackayla in her classroom.

We got to go to Eden's house for a her birthday party. The kids got their faces painted by Amy. Caitlin loved her ladybugs, and was devastated when the pain had to come off at the end of the weekend.

At the end of the month we got to go to the fair. I haven't been to it since my teenage years. It was just like I remembered.

Bradley, Jacob and Mackayla all got to have a turn doing this bungee jump thing. They were a little nervous at first, but finally got the hang of  it.

We got to spend one evening with my cousins, picking apples from their trees, using an apple press, and making our own apple juice to take home. It was delicious!

The Built Green Washington group was wanting to make a little commercial, and our family got to help them out. Jared and I just stood on the deck while the kids ran up the hill. We're going to be famous!
We enjoyed a couple of movie nights in the tour house while waiting for it to sell.

Bradley getting into the BYU football season.
Papa and Nini came up for a weekend and we got to go bowling. Fun times!
This is how Jacob bowls :)

Driving around with Papa and Nini while the other kids were in school

Our biggest event of the month, and probably year, was the Tour of Homes. The weeks leading up to it were CRAZY!! He had the house ready just in time, and the people loved it! It was just the kind of exposure he was hoping for as he starts out here in Yakima.
Here is Bradley helping me run the front table during the tour.
Jared was working all the time, barely sleeping at the end, but with help from a lot of people it was ready in time. This first picture is what the house looked like Tuesday morning. Then by Saturday morning when the tour began, it looked like all the pictures that follow. My parents, the Holts, and our friends the Buttons all helped get things cleaned up and ready in the final hours. There were also many workers there until very late right until the start. The night before the judging, April and I were there cleaning until after 4am. It all turned out though, and we were so thankful for all the help. Jared did an Amazing job!! His parents came up for the second weekend of the tour, and loved getting to see the house and be part of it!
