Christmas is in the Air

We're in Washington right now. Before we left, we had an early Christmas. Mackayla stayed in her new princess robe and princess high heels that she got from Papa and Grandma Nini all night long. She rotated through the shoes (there are 6 sets) about every 2 minutes. It will be like Christmas all over again when we get home and she can play with them again. Bradley really loved the blanket that he got. Not too much emotion from a 2 month old though.

We flew into Seattle and were able to spend a few hours with April and Scott. We finally got to meet their baby Logan that is just four days older than Bradley.

Cousins: Bradley and Logan

Grandpa and Grandma took us up into the mountains to play in the snow. Mackayla had a blast!

Since we were little, a Hatfield family Christmas has always included getting matching pajamas on Christmas Eve. As we've gotten older the tradition has continued. This year I tried to tell my mom that we were all too old, and that just the grandchildren should get pajamas. She finally agreed, but some people were dissapointed. In the long run, my mom couldn't help herself and once again we will ALL be getting pajamas this year. Here are pictures from a few recent years. What will this year's pajamas be??? We'll find out tomorrow! Check back to see this year's picture.

Christmas Carols

Here are a few pictures from the last week. We've been loving listening to Christmas music and decided to title each picture with a Christmas song.

What Child Is This
Compared to some of your children he probably looks like just a little guy, but we think he's getting awfully chubby.

Welcome to December

We woke on Saturday to our first real snow. Mackayla couldn't wait to go out and build a snowman.

For family home evening last week I wanted to teach Mackayla the Christmas story. So I got out the only little nativity set I had and Jared used it to tell the story. Mackayla loved it.

This is just a random cute picture of the men in my life. Handsome Devils!

Thanksgiving

I finally have a moment with both hands free so that I can type. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Jared's parents were able to stay with us for a full week and we loved being able to spend so much time with them. We had a little thanksgiving dinner at our house and then that evening joined some of Jared's relatives in Manti for another wonderful feast.

Grandma Jones and the kids

Mackayla was playing on our bed when I heard her calling out that she needed help. I found her trying so hard to put her Daddy's jeans on.

Jared and his dad went to the BYU/Utah game and had a blast.

Ashley and family gave Mackayla these pajamas for christmas and she has been living in them ever since. We finally convinced her that what she was laying on was not a blanket but a table cloth.
ANNOUNCMENT: For the first time ever (as I was posting this) Mackayla put herself to sleep for a nap!!! She said she was sleepy so I gave her some milk and she went in to bed and actually fell asleep!!!!! Lets all pray she'll do this again!

Bradley's Blessing Day

We had a wonderful day today. We had Bradley's blessing here at the house due to the fact that today was ward conference at church. It ended up working out better to just do it right after church because Bradley had both sets of grandparents here as well as his Jones great-grandparents, and all our other relatives in the area. His Grandma Jones brought him this darling little white blessing outfit. He looked like such a handsome little guy!!!

28!!!

I had a great birthday. Jared and Mackayla made this wonderful cake for me! We've got pleanty left if anyone wants some.

Mackayla loved handing me all my gifts. Of course she unwrapped them first then gave them to me.Jared gave me this VERY soft robe!
Jared was home in the morning doing homework so he watched Bradley and Mackayla and I got to go outside and play in the leaves. We both enjoyed actually getting out of the house for an hour.

Happy Halloween

Our Little Princess
Mackayla has been wearing her Cinderella dress for weeks but was still very excited to get all dressed up tonight. She even got to wear some lipstick!!

Her fairy godmother wasn't quite as talented as Cinderella's. Mackayla had to drive her little green car to the ball rather than go in a fancy carriage.

Super Bradley
Amy let us borrow Jackson's superman outfit and he sure looked cute in it!

My little hero
Cinderella getting ready to go trick or treating with her prince charming
Her dad said she loved it and said "trick or treat" and "Happy Halloween!" at every door.

Digging in!

We carved our pumpkin on Monday night. Mackayla was way more interested in coloring on her little pumpkin than helping her dad carve the big one.
