April Fool's Day

We had our usual April Fools Day dinner. I had a big etiquette dinner with the Young Women and Men that night so we didn't have a lot of time for too much foolery this year. They had a great time trying to eat with their funny dishes though. We love this tradition! Some of the pictures are pretty blurry but I used them anyway since that's all I had.

March

I love my leprechauns!

They started St. Patrick's Day off with green milk and Lucky Charms.
Then, Bradley wanted green eggs and toast for lunch.
Another shot of all of them in their green
Our green dinner
After dinner, they went on their annual scavenger hunt for the leprechaun's gold.

Giving Mom a hug
Jared must have taken these next four photos of each of the kids. I just found them on the camera. Beautiful children!

Mackayla, Bradley, and Jacob are all loving Jared's collection of Calvin and Hobbes books lately! They read them all the time, laughing like crazy! In this picture Mackayla had dressed Jacob up to look like Calvin.
Peek-a-boo!
A Sunday dinner with the Nelsons and Logan and Kassie Birch.
They always love seeing their cousins!
One of the fist times, watching the movie Frozen. It has quickly become a favorite around here. Especially for Caitlin. She LOVES the movie and always wants to watch it. They kids all know all the words to every song and sing them all of the time.
The rest of these pictures are from my phone. I just wanted to remember playing around with Caitlin and taking these fun pictures together.  I don't ever put any "selfies" on facebook but I might as well have them in our family book! :)

 Having lunch on the deck.
The kids had a great time making these rainbow, pinwheel cookies.

The kids and I enjoyed a nice walk/bike ride one afternoon down around the little lake by our house.
Caitlin riding along with "my soft bear that Grandpa gave me!"
Caitlin had been wanting to use the potty for a while and was doing pretty good. So, despite her young age, we finally decided we better go ahead and potty train her. She got her new underwear at the beginning of the month, and has been out of diapers since (except at nights). Of course, potty training is always frustrating, but overall, she has done a great job. The worst part has just been convincing her to take to time to go potty now that she has it down.
The Elder's quorum had a pinewood derby race one evening. Jared's car was great and came in 3rd place out of about 25 cars. The kids were so proud of him!! They thought their dad was pretty darn cool. :)
 Jared and his car!
The kids all had colds one Sunday morning, and didn't end up going to church. Since they weren't feeling horrible I made them sit through a full primary at home with me. They thought it was great.
Mackayla was setting the table for us one Sunday afternoon and thought her napkin placement was so fancy!
Going for the Elsa from Frozen look one day.
We were walking around Cabellas on night, waiting for Jared, and Caitlin crawled into this display and wanted me to take her picture. We think this girl is pretty darn cute!
We went out to celebrate Caitlin's potty training success one Friday night at Red Robin.

Jared went on his annual bike trip with some guys from work at the end of the month. He was gone from Thursday morning until Sunday night. He only really had reception that fist day and a half so I sent him this picture, saying we missed him that first night. Bradley was sitting in Jared's spot at the table while Jared was gone. He takes his role of "man of the house" very seriously while Jared is gone. :)

Valentine's Day and Sweetheart Ball

Jared and I were gone on our little getaway the weekend before Valentine's Day, so we ended up just having our Sweetheart Ball on Valentine's Day this year. I was helping at class parties that day, so we didn't have nearly as much time to set up as usual, but it turned out great and we had a ton of fun.

Jake really wanted to do ring-around-the-rosie

Jared brought these flowers home to me that evening. He gave them to me while I was holding Caitlin, and she thought he was giving them to her. She said "oh, thank you, Daddy!" She kept talking about her flowers all night.

Such a good looking group!!!

We started with a dinner before the dance.

A little present from Dad and Mom
Feeding Daddy some of the candy that Mommy gave to him.

These were the Valentines that Bradley gave out this year.
Jacob passed out these minions, and Mackayla did Frozen vanlentines, but I didn't get a picture.
