Let Summer Begin!

We started the summer off with a new pool. The kids have been loving every minute of summer vacation.

We've had a lot of strawberries this year in our garden. The kids love picking them every day. Mackayla enjoying her icecream with some of our strawberries.

Racing their cousins on Mario Kart via the internet. They were racing against family in three different locations.

Baking cookies with Daddy

We've been trying to do a lot of reading this summer and have been coming home from the library with lots of books. Mackayla and Bradley are both becoming such good readers.

Summer vacation has come with a job chart. They have to get all their jobs done each morning. They take their jobs very seriously and love doing them. Once a week they each have a turn to vacuum and I always love watching them do it. They try so hard!

Caitlin is always smiling at us. It makes it hard to get much else done! :)

A trip to the Bean Museum in Provo.

The zebra sisters. Mackayla absolutely loves matching with Caitlin!

Jacob cries every morning without fail for his Daddy when Jared is gone to work. One morning he was having a really hard time so I called Jared and asked if Jacob could come join him at work that afternoon. Jacob was so excited all day. We drove him down and dropped him off about 4:00 and he spent the last hour of Jared's day with him at work. He wore his Magleby shirt and brought his own computer. He loved being there and was extra excited because one of Daddy's friends at work gave him a piece of chocolate!

Kindergarten Graduation

On May 30th, Mackayla had her Kindergarten Graduation. Her class sang a bunch of songs, they had a slide show from the year, and then cookies afterwards. She had her whole family there plus Papa, Nini, and Grandma Jones to support her. She had a great year in Kindergarten and is looking forward to 1st grade.

Waiting with her class to walk in.
Getting her diploma from Mrs. Paxman.

Singing with her class

The best picture I was able to get with her and her brothers.

The next day was the last day of school. She only had to go for an hour and a half. The pinwheels were one of the last day of school gifts from Mom and Dad. Welcome to Summer Vacation!

No post would be complete without some pictures of our darling baby. The kids can never get enough of her. Mackayla had put this bow in her hair for her.

Pretty girl. I spend a lot of time just smiling and cooing back and forth with her!

My Dad enjoying the deck while they were in town last week for the blessing. This month has been the month of the deck! We'll be glad when Jared is done and we can have him back!

Caitlin's Blessing Day

Caitlin was blessed on May 27th by her Daddy. Jared gave her a beautiful blessing, and we were then able to spend the day with family.

For the record, those in attendance at the blessing were; Grandma and Grandpa Hatfield, Papa and Nini, Great Grandma Jones, Spencer and Ashley and girls, Tom and Nancy Tree and kids, Trevor and Chelsea LeSueur, and Kirk Johnson. Of course, our whole family was also there.

A few family pictures

The Hatfield side

The Jones side. I don't know why in the world we didn't get this picture with the Nelsons in it?! I guess with the craziness of the afternoon I didn't realize.

Beautiful girl!

Grandma's birthday was the next day but she was flying out very early in the morning, so the kids made and decorated this cake for her that afternoon.

Eating some dinner with the cousins

Caitlin with Grandpa

I love this picture of Caitlin talking to Grandma. Also it's a good picture of the blanket I made for Caitlin. I don't think I ever got a picture of it before.

This is one of pictures from Caitlin's first photo shoot.

You can tell I love this little girl by how many pictures I always take of her. :) Some of the pictures aren't very good quality since I just snap them with my iTouch.

This was her trying on her blessing dress the week before. She wore the same dress as Mackayla that was made by my Aunt Sharon.

It was a wonderful day and we were so thankful for our family that came to share in this day and support us.

Mother's Day

This is the Mother's Day picture we sent out this year.

My four beautiful children!!

I love being their mother! They took great care of me on Mother's day.

A special breakfast for me!

They made me a nice dinner also and best of all I got lots of hugs and kisses that day. Jacob told me "Happy Mother's Day!" a hundred times but I think he told Caitlin that even more. :)

I had to take a picture of this just because I think these are the little things I'll miss about motherhood when the children get older and it will be fun to remember. Jacob wanted two kinds of cereal that morning. Even though there is basically no food left and he is no longer at the table, I know better than to take his food and clean his dishes. He always wonders back to the table later and if its gone he will start crying, "Where's my food?!!" So, when I clear the table I always leave his plate there for an extra hour or so.

Jared has been hard at work on his deck. He's been getting some help from the kids.

Caitlin has been smiling like crazy lately and we all LOVE it!
