We've finally had a break from the snow and have enjoyed being able to go outside a little bit in the afternoons. We're certainly ready for Spring to be here!
These leaves were burried by the snow all winter long. It looks like its time for some spring cleaning!
My Aunt Sharon has been in town so we were able to take Mackayla swimming at her hotel pool. Mackayla was SO EXCITED to get to swim again.
We had our first week of school. Bird week was definitly a success. After a couple days, as soon as Bradley went down for his morning nap Mackayla would run to the table and say "Mom, it's time for school!" She is excited to learn about water and fish next week. Following are a few pictures of some of the activities that we did.
Mackayla got to glue different kinds of feathers to different kinds of birds when we learned about feathers.
She enjoyed being a bird with her own bird beak.
Looking for birds through her bird watching binoculars. She refused to add a second viewer onto her binoculars (monocular).
She built her own nest by flying around finding things (pillows and blankets) just like birds do. She stayed in her nest for about an hour once it was built.
And for a perfect ending to bird week... Jared went Pheasant hunting with a group from work today. Between the eight of them they got 54 birds. Jared shot at least 9 by his count. (He is the second from the right)
This is also the PHOTO OF THE WEEK!

Bradley trying out the high chair. He's still a bit small for it.

Cute Pictures! It's nice that you have all these ideas to do with Mackayla! Mackayla and Bradley have a great Mommy! Melissa, do you have to cook any of those birds?
Your school looks really fun. I'd better not show Jaden or else he might decide he wants to go live with you again.
I love the school... and especially the themes - they look like a blast! mackayla is truly a talented little bird - that nest looks like she could live in it for days (if she had a bell & maid service of course) & oh, so comfy! hooray for spring~
You all look so cute and springy!
Bradley is getting pretty plump -- I love it! Good job hunting for your family Jared!
Hey Melissa! Your school idea is so great, I'd love if you could email me your list of ideas/lessons. I'm excited you found my blog, now we can see what each of us are up to!! Oh, my email is JAHolloway1124@gmail.com
Bradley is really looking like a big boy! It looks like bird week was a success. Mackayla is so smart I'm sure she enjoyed the extra learning. Pheasant is one hunted prey that I wouldn't mind--it's pretty tasty.
Send some of your Spring weather to Pennsylvania please! I love your school themes. You are such a good mom!
Melissa, where is this week's lesson? :) I'm not ready to make them on my own.
