Mackayla's 9th Birthday. Her birthday was on a Saturday, so we had the whole day to play. The Nelsons and her friend Daphne were able to join us in the celebration.
They each got to make a stick with some dancing ribbons.
Present time! We gave Mackayla an ipod this year with some music for her to listen to.
After the party she wanted pancakes with home made syrup.

Mackayla is still as sweet as ever. She is such a wonderful big sister and daughter. She loves going to her dance class, riding bikes, reading, and playing games. She enjoys school most of the time, and does really well. Her teacher is always so impressed with her creativity in writing, and her ability to pick up on new math concepts. She has hated the timed multiplication tests that you do all year in 3rd grade. That timer just really stresses her out. Since she has to do one every night as part of her homework, it has been a real struggle to make it though homework time each day. Every year she becomes more outgoing and confident at school, and it is such a joy to see her becoming the girl that she is. We all love her SO much!!!
