My four little ones

We are adjusting well to our family of six.

Some snuggles with Daddy

Caitlin always has a big audience

Jared decided to take on a big project of building a deck in our backyard at the beginning of the month. The first step was to dig some big holes.

Her first time to church at two weeks.

Her first bath in the water.

Everyone always wants a turn to hold their little sister.

A picture with Grandma right before she left to go home on May 4th.

Bradley had been saving this light saber to give to Caitlin when she was born. This was her first time to train to become a jedi.

Talented Mackayla

Mackayla had her second dance recital on May 3rd. She was so excited and looked beautiful!

Grandma Hatfield stayed around long enough to be able to attend the recital and then flew home the next morning. Ashley and Sophie also came to see Mackayla dance.

They danced to The Happy Song from the new Muppets movie. Here are a few action shots during the dress rehearsal.

Mackayla also had a talent show for her class at school a few days before. When her teacher first told them they were having a talent show, Mackayla decided she wanted to do hula hooping for her talent. She couldn't even hula hoop then so I was a little nervous for her. She had a couple weeks but was actually able to get it down and was a great hula hooper for the show!
Her class also did the Mexican Hat Dance at the show.

This was Caitlin's first outing. She was so proud of big sister's hula hooping skills.

Caitlin is here!

Caitlin Dyan Jones
Born April 19, 2012
8 lbs 9 oz 21 inches

Caitlin is now a week old and as with every child, I can't believe how much we love her already!!
Here is a brief account of the delivery for our records. I would have preferred not to be induced but didn't want the time my parents were in town to pass away with no baby so after they had been here a week I was scheduled to be induced the morning of the 19th. We checked in at 8:30 in the morning and by 10:00 they had started the pitocin. I was dilated to a four when I arrived at the hospital and after several hours of the pitocin I was still a four. Then the doctor broke my water and in a matter of maybe 20 minutes I went to a seven and then a nine and then things got a little intense in the room and we needed to deliver the baby right away. I had a partial placental abruption, so I lost a lot of blood and they were very concerned with the baby's heart rate. There were a few scary moments. Even though my cervix wasn't completely ready they quickly delivered the baby and she came out healthy and beautiful! She was born at 2:07 pm.

The kids were so excited to come in a see their new sister.

Meeting Grandpa and Grandma Hatfield

The kids waiting in the waiting room during labor. They remembered eating Cheetos while waiting for Jacob to be born so Grandma and Grandpa helped them continue the tradition and got them Cheetos again.

The next day when they came back to visit again.

All ready to come home from the hospital

Mackayla and Bradley made this poster to welcome home Caitlin.

Another round of holding her as soon as we got home. The kids all LOVE their new baby sister and constintly want to see, hold or kiss her.

Mackayla pulled up a chair so she could watch Caitlin sleep.

Nini came into town for the weekend so she got to meet her newest grandchild also.

Mackayla wore her matching tutu for Caitlin's homecoming.

Its been so nice to have my parents here helping me. They've made life with a new baby easy so far. My dad headed back home already but my mom is here for another week. She's been staying up late with Caitlin every night, making us freezer meals, cooking and helping me with all the kids.
