Back to School

Mackayla's first day of 3rd grade.
Bradley's first day of first grade
The whole group. (Jacob's preschool didn't start for one more week)

Waiting outside his portable classroom for class to start.
Waiting in line outside
The first few days of school are always rough for me. I'm so glad I still had these two at home to keep me company while missing the other kids.
 Lunch time
Jacob's first day of the preschool year

And it was Caitlin's first day of Caitlin school with Mommy for the year
The first days are always exhausting
The last day of summer vacation I took the kids to sonic for a slushy drink.
I always hate it when summer ends

A few more pictures of the first few days of school

Mackayla decided she wanted to try soccer this year. She had two practices a week and two games a week for 4 weeks. She loved it and had a great time.

The games were a lot of running but she did really good.
Listening to the coach. Caitlin liked to be part of the team when she could.
Watching the games
Some more pictures of the end of summer:

Enjoying a storm

Our annual August trip to the dinosaur museum.
Swinging

Hanging out with Max
Playing "Frozen"
This little beauty put  on her own lipstick!
I was so surprised and excited when Jared showed up at home today for lunch. Eventually, I discovered it was actually just Bradley, dressed up as Jared. I can't believe they fooled me again!

Having fun at the Magleby Summer Party at the Lindon pool.
I love that Mackayla is plugging her nose to land in about two inches of water.

One of the last nights of summer vacation, the kids made invitations and invited some of the neighbors over for smores. This is the after party once they had all left.
Watching another pretty storm.
Whenever I have these two at Costco and I go into the refrigerated mild section, Jacob tries so hard to keep Caitlin warm.
 Fun at Walmart
Beautiful Girl
Jared got to go muzzle loader deer hunting at the end of September. He went a few times with friends but never found anything. We went out with him one Saturday afternoon in the pouring rain. We mostly just drove around but the boys and him got out and walked about for about 30 mins. They loved it! (that is not a real gun that Bradley is holding)

This is what Mackayla does when she plays with Jenga blocks
Jason and Elena came up at the beginning of September as well as Nini and Papa for Sophie's baptism. We had a great three day weekend. After the baptism on Saturday morning, we had family pictures and then came back to our house for dinner and some s'mores.

Jared never comes home for lunch. One day he called and said he would be passing by this direction and would stop in to eat lunch. I wanted him to like it so he would come more often, so I made it nice and fancy for him. :)
The last harvest from our peach trees. We LOVE our peaches!
We went up to Cascade Springs one morning and hiked around. It was beautiful there!

Another morning we went for a little bike ride around our trails and to the playground. Caitlin got to ride with Daddy.

We took some blankets that I had made with my beehives to the children's hospital in Salt Lake for Mitchell's day.
We've been thinking about the idea of starting our own business in Yakima next Spring and building April's and Scott's home in time to put in the Tour of Homes next year. We decided to make a spontaneous and quick trip to Yakima for the weekend to check out the Tour of Homes and see what it's like there. Jared felt pretty good about his ability to compete in that market.  We were able to be there for Eden's frozen birthday party also.

Some fun pictures of my twins that day.

Cute kids
