4th of July

We had an extra fun 4th of July this year with a visit from Grandpa, Grandma and Heather. On July 2nd we all went at watched a fantastic firework show in American Fork. It was the best show I've been too. The kids thought it was amazing!
Playing a little Old Maid one afternoon. They took care of these cute kiddos until Jared got home on the afternoon of the 3rd while I went up to Girl's camp for the evening.
The morning of the 4th, Jared made us some patriotic pancakes and then we headed up to Provo for the big parade. It was really hot and really crowded!

That afternoon we had a fun BBQ with some of my family.
Keeping cool!
Uncle Dave, Aunt Lori, Julie and her family, and Lisa and her family all joined us.

Beautiful Desserts!
Then we ended the night with some fireworks.

As it got darker it was absolutely amazing, the amount of fireworks going off in the air all around us! There were so many in the neighborhood! Every direction you looked was a magnificent show. When you looked at the street lights, you could tell that the entire air was full of smoke.
Grandma taught these kids how to knit while she was here. They loved it.
We went up to Park City one day to see the Silver Lake project that Jared is managing up there. We also drove by my Mom's grandparent's old house. She remembers visiting her Grandpa and Grandma Tree here when she was a child.
The kids and Jared have been loving reading Harry Potter together this summer. They always all grab a pillow and get comfortable while they read. They finished the first two book and then decided to take a break.
Enjoying a summer meal on the deck.
Beautiful clouds
More summer fun
We spent one Sunday evening playing the game of Life.
Cookies and milk
Watching a show with Dad
We went and tried out a reservoir close by for FHE one evening.
It wasn't as wonderful as Hawaii but we still had a lot of fun! :)
I love her style
I put some make-up on Mackayla one morning and she then did my make-up for the day. She did a surprisingly good job!
Bradley taught the Family Home Evening lesson about putting on the whole armor of God.

We enjoyed going on bike rides all summer along the trail that runs behind our neighborhood. Stopping the throw some rocks in the water.

Bubble fun in the back yard
They found something more fun to do than play with bubbles... mud painting.
They had a blast! They did a good job cleaning it all up when they were done too.

Enjoying the pool.

It's getting more and more rare for anyone extra to end up in our bed by morning so I really cherish waking up to this sight.
