The Last Month

I'd like to apologize to the two, maybe three, people that read this blog, for the lack of updates. I haven't seemed to be keeping up with anything lately. It is taking me a while to adjust to the structured life style that has come with having Mackayla in school every day. Every single day we have to get up and get ready to go... it's getting really old! :) I really don't want to get behind in our family book though so I'm making myself get this done.

Mackayla and Bradley did a great job in the primary program in mid September. That same day they announced they would be creating a new Jordan Willows ward and we were going to be part of it. As they have been getting the new ward organized we've only had Sacrament meeting for several weeks. This last Sunday was our first three hour block in a month. We only know a small handful of families that also came from our previous ward so we have to start over meeting all new people. Jared and I still haven't received callings in our new ward but I think they are coming.

Jared has gone on two different window manufacturer window plant tours in the last month. He spent a few days in Bend, Oregon and a few days in Warroad, Minnesota. I really don't like it when he's gone but we survived both of those trips.

Mackayla is still loving her dance class and is learning her dance now for the recital in December.

Jared was too busy to shave... for several weeks.

Having some ice cream with peaches from our trees. This was our first year to get fruit from the young trees.

It still felt like summer all through September. It didn't start feeling like fall until October. We were able to spend a lot of time outside and loved it. This is Bradley and Jacob playing with the hose one morning in late September.

Mackayla decided she wanted a new hair style and was going to get bangs cuts. Jared and I both tried to talk her out of it since she had just finished growing her bangs out from last year. She was determined though.

She looks beautiful!

Cleaning off the pumpkins they just picked from the garden. We got 5 pumpkins this year, one for each of us.

Picking all the pears off the tree before the first really cold night was about to hit.

The pears were delicious and we've been really enjoying them.

We went to Provo last weekend for the BYU homecoming parade. The kids shouted their hearts out to get noticed so they could get lots of candy!

Yesterday Mackayla went on her very first field trip. It was her first time to ride a bus and she loved every second of her adventure. They went to Hee Ha farms and went on a hay ride, through a corn maze, did some other activities and picked a pumpkin. Mackayla was very attached to her pumpkin by the time she got home and told me it was her best friend. She gave it a bath in the sink and it even slept in her room with her last night.

All curled up.

Jared wears a gray stocking cap outside a lot in the winter. Bradley got a new one and was wearing it all morning telling me he looked exactly like Daddy. He said that when he and Daddy go out in the snow I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Then he said "well, actually you'll be able to tell which one is me because Daddy would never wear pink boots." At the end of the season last year his boots were getting too small so I put him in some old ones of Mackayla's, which were pink, a couple of times. I assured him that we will get him new boots and he doesn't have to wear pink ones all year. :)

Tomorrow is Bradley's 4th birthday so we are busy getting ready for his special day. I'm sure the birthday post will be up soon!

Amesome blog!! I have been waiting and waiting for someone to blog again -- thanks!! So cool that you got fruit this year! We have a Jones Farm here that we buy produce from in the summer. Maybe you guys can open up your own fruit and vegtable stand!! Looking forward to Bradley's birthday pictures!

Mackayla looks great with her new hairdo! Sounds like Bradley doesn't have a problem with wearing the pink boots, you might as well save your money until he really objects.
