Father's Day

We had a nice Father's Day and were happy to have a a special day when we get to tell Daddy how much we love him. When Jared has a really busy week and isn't around much we're reminded of how essential he is to our happy home! Nothing runs as smoothly and the kids are SO much crankier when they don't see Dad enough... as am I.
A Father's day kiss from his kids.

Mackayly and her Daddy

Bradley and his Daddy

Mackayla had been wanting to play Mario Kart with her Daddy for days and she was delighted when they finally had a chance. Although, Mackayla never gets very far off the starting line she always thinks she won when it's over and always asks her Dad "how does it feel to get beat by a baby?" (she always uses the baby peach character)

Although we were planning on making Jared a wonderful Father's Day breakfast he wanted to make his own German Pancakes. They were delicious.

Mackayla wanted a picture of her and Hoppy together.

Bradley LOVES to sit on the floor and color. Everytime the kids want me to play on the floor though they know that I first grab a pillow to lay on so it won't hurt my back as much. Bradley now thinks he needs a pillow too so when he gets his crayons and book out he also grabs a pillow for himself. This is how he spends a lot of his time, laying on his pillow, coloring.

Jared's got a lot of work ahead of him still to get our sprinkler system in (poor guy). Kevin Henry came over and helped him all Saturday afternoon but other than that these are his only two helpers.

We walked past the store Cookie Cutters: Haircuts For Kids a few weeks ago and Mackayla had been begging ever since to go get her hair cut there. Since both the kids really needed a haircut we decided we would try it out this once. It was the first time we have taken either of them somewhere to get a haircut since we've just done it ourselves before. Its a very fun place and they loved it.
Showing off their balloons after they were done.

Mackayla got to drive the pink car while getting her hair cut.
Bradley sat in a blue car and is still talking about how he went "vroom vroom" when he got his hair cut.

How fun for the kids to get their hair cut in a cool place like that!
I can't wait to race Mackayla in mariokart next week, tell her to bring her A game.
In the Holt house we call german pancakes Hootenanny (not sure why), they are delicious!

Way to talk some smack, Mackayla:) That hair place does look like fun and that sprinkler system looks like a lot of work.

That picture of Bradley coloring is so sweet. Your kids look so big...and talk big for that matter! Glad Jared got a day of rest on Father's Day. He looks like he deserves it.

Looks like you had a great father's Day, Jared! Cute picture Mackayla and her bunny! That is so sweet of Bradley to get a pillow also. That is too bad that Jared has to do the sprinkler system by himself mostly. That was fun for the kids to get their hair done!
