During the half-day week for Mackayla, she got to come with me to pick up Caitlin from preschool. It was a fun surprise to see the new display on the bulletin board outside her classroom. Each kid had a leaf that they got to say something they were thankful for. Caitlin's said, "I am thankful for my sister."
Bradley was getting some help on his homework from Nikki and Cooper.
Caitlin made a leaf bouquet for Grandma.
Melissa turns 37!
We had a quiet little party with presents and some cake.
We enjoyed Bradley's and Logan's Veteran's Day program.
We took a drive up by Whistlin Jacks and walked around. It was beautiful!
Just hanging out!
On Tuesday, November 15th Grandpa had his quadruple bi-pass surgery. April took my parents to Seattle and stayed with them the first few days, so I was picking up all the kids. My van was extra full that week and the kids loved all the extra cousin time.
We headed up to Seattle Friday afternoon to trade places with April. Dad was doing pretty good by that time and in good spirits, but still very tired. We were so glad to finally get there and get to be with them.
Saturday was also our 12th anniversary so we snuck away from the hospital for a couple hours in the afternoon to have an anniversary date with the kids at the water front.
On Sunday, the rest of my family went home with Scott, who had come up that day. Grandpa wasn't quite ready to come home so I stayed with them. He was discharged on Monday but needed to stay in the hotel there for one more day. Then, on Tuesday I drove them back home to Yakima. It was such a great blessing to have him home!
We got home from the hospital just two days before Thanksgiving. Chad and Amy and Family came up Wednesday and we all got to spend the Holiday together. The Holts had family in town but came by later for dessert.
A few more pictures of our life.
Pack meetings, I fixed Jared's truck, pancake flipping, a new employee at Copper Hills and bed time fun.
