Here is the month of February, not in any particular order.
On Mitchell's birthday we went out to the cemetery.
It was also the day before my Grandma Johnson's birthday.
My kids didn't know my Grandma at all so we spent some time telling them about her and looking at pictures on her birthday. We also had a cake in honor of Mitchell and my grandma.
We love going out to our land. Jared and I dream of the house we'll build before long and the kids just love to play in the dirt.
For family home evening one night, Jared had the talent, and bench pressed each of the kids.
On another Monday night, Mackayla showed us how bendy she is for her talent. We are such a talented family!
Mackayla and Bradley made Valentine sacks at school but Jacob had the assignment to make something at home with his family. Jared and Jacob are hard at work making his shark box.
The finished product, ready for school.
At this school, you are not allowed to give out candy with your valentines. So the stuff they brought home was very different than they've had in the past. Caitlin and I got to go help in Jacob's class with his Valentines Day party. Caitlin had a great time joining in with Jacob and he loved having her there.
This was a big bird we saw sitting in a tree in the backyard. (or it was Grandpa doing some trimming)
We went over to the church parking lot a couple of times to ride our bikes. Caitlin is pretty in pink!
We rarely get any visitors in our bed anymore so it was fun to wake up to this sight one morning.
Posing with Po at the movie theater. There was no school one Friday so we went Thursday night and saw this movie with Heather.
The kids and I made Valentine sugar cookies. The missionaries were coming that night for dinner so they made some of them with messages for them.
A special treat, getting to eat some ribs for dinner. The yummier they are, the messier you get.
At the end of the month we got to go to the home and garden show. Jared spend many many hours organizing and helping build the exterior house facade so we wanted to go see it.
They had fun things for kids to do, including playing in the sand.
Bradley and Jacob joined into the Lego competition. They had 45 minutes to build a house.
Hard at work
The finished products. Bradley had part of his house cave in at the last minute. He was very upset and not wanting to be in this last picture. They both build great houses though.
Here they are in front of the big work of art. Jared enjoyed meeting lots of new people and being really involved with the HBA on this project. He showed up to a meeting to help them figure out what they were going to do and he somehow ended up in charge of this whole project. He did a great job!
