Finishing Up The Year

Here are just a few more pictures from the rest of the year.
These are the first pictures we took with the new camera we got for Christmas.

We headed home on Tuesday, the day after the funeral. We only went  half way and then spend New Year's Eve at a hotel in Boise.
Eating pizza, waiting to ring in the new year. We celebrated with the east coast so, it was actually only 10:00.
All ready!

Cheers!

Happy New Year!!!

Grandma Davenport ~

We stayed in Yakima long enough to attend Grandma's funeral on Monday, December 30th.
 October 30, 1917 ~ Burley, Idaho
December 24, 2013 ~ Yakima, Washington

There was a great group of the Tree family there. All but just a few of her 30 grandchildren made the trip. A lot of people had to travel a long ways to come.
The Hatfield Family

A few shots of the family at the viewing before hand

The Pall Bearers

Siblings

I only ended up with pictures of 3 of the 5 families.

The Luncheon afterwards

A couple days before the funeral we decided to all eat Lunch at Taco Bell in honor of Grandma

We gathered at the church Saturday night to eat and share memories of Grandma.

It was great to see so many cousins and family, and to celebrate Grandma's life together. We love you Grandma, we really do!

~Christmas 2013~

Christmas 2013!
We had a great time in Yakima! We learned on our drive up there that Grandma Davenport, was not going to make it after having a stroke the week before. She passed away early on the morning of Christmas Eve. We were so glad that we were able to be there to say goodbye to her, and attend her funeral.
Ready for church
Fun with the family
Mackayla and Bradley loved learning how to play chess that week.
Frosting cookies with Aunt April (sorry only half of her made it in the photo)

Traditional Christmas Eve dinner at Burger King
Aunt Lori and and Aunt Ginger ended up getting to spend Christmas with us. It was so fun having them there, but we all felt so bad they didn't get to be with their family. It was strange not having Grandma there at her spot at that table!
 Hatfield Family
 The Holts
Our family musical performance. Singing and dancing to Jingle Bells with the Jingly Slippers that Grandma Hatfield made the kids.
Enjoying the fire
Time to open Pajamas! I love all the excited Christmas smiles of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, so I always include a ton of pictures so that it's easy for me to pick up the book and see all of them.

Jacob also opened this bar of steel from Caitlin. He loved showing everyone how strong he was!
 Playing babies with Eden
 Santa came!
Ready to go!
Bradley got a bow and arrow set!

Taking care of her new baby.
Jacob was thrilled that Santa brought him the "Dudo Dragon"  that he had asked for!
And Mackayla got her Sky Dancer

Grandma
The kids loved giving their gifts to each other. This is the Abby doll that Mackayla gave Caitlin.

The strawberry picture Mackayla made for me.

 The kids' gift for Grandma
Mackayla came up with idea and design of this shirt she gave to her dad. She was so excited about it. It says, "I love to watch/play boring ball" (football).
The present the kids gave to Grandpa
Bradley gave me this phone case
Attacking Dad with the very swords he just gave them
Love these happy faces!
Taking a break for breakfast

As soon as she opened this new outfit she exclaimed, "So pretty! Let's put it on!"
And she did put it right on...

 Fun with tinker toys
We all got our nails done by April with her new shellac nail stuff (all of us girls that is!).
It was a fabulous Christmas!
