Father's Day and Summer Break

Jared and the boys went on the ward Father/Son camp out. The girls and I had a sleepover in my bed while they were gone.

On Father's Day we made Jared a nice breakfast, gave him some presents, went to church and then had a nice dinner. I forgot to take a formal picture of Jared and the kids that day but that evening we got some good selfies on the trampoline. We love this guy!

The summer started out nice and hot so we enjoyed a lot of time at the pool. I spent a few half days with Bradley and the other cubscouts at day camp.

Jared and Mackayla got to go to a father/daughter activity with the activity days group. Jacob had another morning at work with Jared. There was no way Jared could supervise a concrete pour all by himself so he was grateful that Jacob was willing to step up.

Chad and Amy got a new boat and invited us and the Holts down to their place to try it out.  We were only out there about 20 minutes when the rope got caught and we were stuck. With in a few minutes some crazy flash storm came. There was lightening all around us and the waves were getting bigger and bigger. We finally flagged someone down and they started to tow us back in. We had a long ways to go and we were going slow because of the storm. It kept getting worse and it was pretty scary! The kids were getting upset so we sang primary songs until we made it back. The women and kids ran back to the cars in the insane wind and rain and the men worked together to load the boat up. We then hung out at the Hatfields until the storm passed. It was a wild, crazy experience!

Mackayla is definitely an artist. She wanted to do a painting project so she found a tutorial on YouTube and made this painting.

June

This kid is a natural entertainer! He was a magnificent magician at his school talent show. He did such an amazing job!

Bradley made it into the 100 mile club this year. He was so proud and we were so proud of him. This year he has learned that he's capable of much more than he thought he was. Way to go Bradley!

We had a great time camping up at Ensign Ranch this weekend and then participating in the service project up there.

A fun project Bradley made at school. Caitlin and Daddy love it when they get to have lunch together in the afternoons. I subbed for the last couple of days of Caitlin's preschool. She thought it was pretty cool that I was the teacher.

I took lots of pictures the other day, realizing I only have a couple days left of just me and Caitlin together all day. I just don't know how I'll survive the next year without my little lady by my side. She's helped me make it through the days when I'm missing the other kids!

End of the year parties! Jacob and Bradley both had field trips to Meadowbrook at the same time. I went with Bradley's class but got to see Jacob too! When one of the kids goes with Jared to work, he always get them some kind of fun drink. They love it.

Last day of school. Mackayla finished her last day of middle school. It was such a good year for her but she's pretty excited for it to be over and ready to enjoy the summer.April and I were helping with the end of year assembly at Wide Hollow so Jared picked up Mackayla and Jaden and took them for an icecream and then dropped them off at Wide Hollow to meet up with the rest of us. Bradley and Jacob finished their first year at a new school and they did so well. The PAL program has been so great for Bradley. That night we all went to yogurt shack to celebrate.
