Spring Break in Utah

 For Spring Break we headed down to Utah to the Nelsons' house. The rest of the family came up from Arizona and we had a great time together. It's always so great to spend time with cousins. Especially getting to spend time with their newest cousin, Jack. Nini made everyone great shirts this year.

We spent the first day enjoying  Thanksgiving point. We first walked around the gardens and then went to the Museum of Curiosity.

After that, we headed up to Midway to spend a couple of days. Lots of games and playing together. The Nelsons taught us how to play Murder in the Dark, which was so fun! Jared, Jason, Elena and Spencer headed up to Brighton one afternoon to snowboard and ski.

The last day, we had family pictures taken in Salt Lake City. The pictures are at the end of this post. We walked around Temple Square after that and had lunch at the mall. Jason and Elena had to head back to Arizona but we spent one more day back at the Nelson's and got to see more of Jared's family. Such a fun week!

Jared got to go on a field trip with Jacob to hike along the Cowiche Canyon. They found a scorpion which Jacob thought was pretty cool.

Mackayla and I thought it would be fun to try and re-do some kind of clothing. So, we went to the thrift store and Mackayla picked out this dress. She cut the top off and made it into just a skirt. She loved how nicely it twirled!

Its always exciting at the beginning of Spring when you finally feel like you can wear shorts again! Caitlin loves her Beanie Boos. Here she is with Rosie, the turtle. She loves to try to do a couple laps with the boys when I'm helping at mileage club.

 

Sweetheart Ball

 Another Sweetheart Ball! We had a wonderful evening with dinner and dancing. Mackayla wore one of my old prom dresses. They're all getting so big but luckily still look forward to dancing with their dad and mom. This was Cooper's and Nikki's first ball. The kids got them all dressed up but we didn't end up with a good picture of them. I love this family!

February 2017

 The snow continues! Bradley and Caitlin were being little dare devils and stood out in the falling snow in their swimsuits. "Just think warm thoughts!"

On Valentine's Day we made our traditional heart pizzas. Grandma and Grandpa came to join us. Caitlin was so excited to wear her hair in a heart that day and enjoyed a little Valentine's party at preschool.

We got to go to a wax museum at the school and see all kinds of cool people from history. Albert Einstein was our favorite! I never realized how good looking he was until today. He's a very handsome little man!

Pinewood Derby time! Jared and Bradley had fun making his car together. Jared also helped Jacob to make a car and the girls to make one together.

Bradley won first place at the races! Way to go Bradley (and Jared)!
