Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

At the end of September Grandpa and Grandma came down for a quick visit. They babysat while I got a lot of appointments taken care of and just played. It was so fun to have them here.
We took them up to the City Creek Mall in SLC. There was a balloon man there that afternoon making free balloon creations for the kids.

We gave Jared a bunch of BYU football tickets for Father's Day. We got to all go enjoy a game while my parents were here.

September

September came and went very quickly. We were able to adjust to our new busy school schedule and made a quick trip to Yakima also.
Bradley started preschool at Doodlebug. He was SO excited and not at all nervous about going. He's been wanting to go there since Mackayla started there two years ago. He's loving it and had a great first month.

Jacob got to start Mommy school or Jacob school. Some days he likes to call in Mommy school and other days, it's Jacob school. He having fun learning his letters better.

On Labor day Jared took us on a little fishing outing. We didn't catch anything but had a great time playing by the water.

Caitlin started eating baby foods this month. She's loving it!
Such a pretty girl!

Mackayla started a ballet class this month also.
She even got to start doing gymnastics on Saturday mornings as well. She loves both of her classes.
Bradley has been wanting to take a gymnastics class also and so we signed him up for the four year old class. He actually just started at the beginning of October. He's had one class and LOVES it!
Caitlin is getting so big and smart. She's always smiling at us and is never lacking any attention!

Mitchell Hatfield

Our nephew Mitchell passed away on September 2nd after fighting so bravely for over two years with brain cancer. We headed up to Yakima that week to be with our family and to attend his funeral. The service was wonderful and something I will never forget. In the middle of such a hard time, Chad and Amy both spoke of hope, gratitude, and happiness. We will miss Mitchell so much but the things we learned from him and his family have changed us all and we will never be the same. We are so grateful for our Heavenly Father's wonderful plan of salvation and that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!
Mitchell's favorite color is yellow so we all had it on that day.
I didn't get any group pictures but wanted to remember that all our family was there together.
I borrowed this picture from facebook- sorry April didn't make it in but she looked lovely in her yellow also.

His cousins sang "I Wonder When He Comes Again" at the service. This was the practice beforehand.
After the service and luncheon the Trees invited us all out to their place to spend more time together celebrating Mitchell's life. Everyone wrote a message to Mitchell and we released them all together, except for Jacob. He wasn't ready to let go of his balloon. After awhile though, he finally let his balloon fly.

Just before the balloon release the sky turned yellow. It was pretty cool.
The following weekend was "Mitchell's Day." His family wanted to hold a special day of service in his honor in order to share his smile and make this world a better place because of him. We cleaned up the neighborhood and had a great experience serving together.
My cousin Julie and her kids joined us also.

Jacob got tired of picking up garbage but found a way to keep serving. He kept the sun off of Caitlin for us.
We love you Mitchell!!
